My talented partner managed to fabricate a replacement spindle out of a piece of wood that fits nicely into the smaller diameter Husqvarna spool holes (I have no idea what part number but I bought shipping from the retailer in April 2021 and they fit my Ruby Royale which belongs to "Group 7”). So if you're good enough with tools, you can remove the spindle and make your own. However, with the experience of around 4 coils, he winds them sometimes shaky tangled and sometimes perfectly even. It spins so fast you can't tell what's going on. The slow-motion video from our phone shows some sort of spool wobble, but it's more of a homemade spindle than a machine malfunction. I will post an update when my experience improves.
