12/14/12: Wrote a very detailed review of my last stylus - you can find it in the search. This will be short. I think it's a pen with a rubber tip and a microfiber coating. The microfiber definitely makes it more responsive. I use the iPad notepad every workday and my other styluses had an issue where sometimes they just wouldn't capture the writing and I had to use my finger. It gets picked up almost every time. In fact, I ran into a program that didn't lift my finger but caught that pen. It's also a good length and girth - just like a proper ballpoint pen, although a little more weight would be nice. The attachments are good but I don't think I'll be using them. The only minor downside, and that may be because I'm using a non-reflective screen protector, is that there is friction. Lise as I write. It's okay, but I prefer to be quiet, and my rubber-tipped probes are silent. However, this registers much easier, so I won't stick with it. 1-6-14: The pen starts skipping. I haven't used this stylus regularly for a few months now, instead using a similar product that I bought from a "swedish friend" in June 2013. I bought this product from a friendly Swede because it was cheaper and I intended to use them as backups but they just became my main pen for no particular reason. Boxwave is definitely harder to use as the iPad doesn't handle it as easily. I suspect the rubber is drying out under the micro thread, but I'm not sure. I would not take this as a warning or shortcoming of this product; Just keep in mind that the expected lifespan of the pen is around 2 years. At least for that. I don't know if those from a friendly Swede or someone else will last longer.
