This thing is amazing. I don't know, people complain about the smell. IMO it's very nice and disappears after a few hours. In case you're not familiar with the smell of sea buckthorn, it's more earthy than fruity. It is not recommended to lighten blondes, since the natural color can stain the hair. Very thick and excellent glide. DO NOT use on fine, fine or updo straight hair unless in the event of extreme heat or chemical damage as this will weigh hair down and make hair greasy. But this is a great product for ethnic/natural or coarse hair texture. Makes hair so shiny and soft! I have used it on damp hair under a plastic cover under the cover of a hair dryer and oh my goodness great hair after rinsing and drying!
