The box for this product is unique and doesn't really reveal what's inside, but is visually appealing and unwrapped for a last minute gift. The packaging is minimalist but secure, and the contents are easy to unwrap. Batteries are not included, so prepare AAA batteries before use (in case of power failure, to make the alarm work). The guide is best used by left-handers. For some reason the booklet is aimed at English speaking users but is oriented right to left. Be sure to look at the diagram before you start setting it up as if you read the instructions you will see that the images are upside down. Since the buttons on the product are laid out in a natural left-to-right order, you should find them a breeze. The time setting buttons are first, alarm and snooze follow, and the buttons you'll use less often are on the side. The USB port is on the back, so keep that in mind if you want to charge devices from your device. The dimmer is perfect: if your clock lighting bothers you at night, this is perfect for you as it can be switched off without the backlight if required (see accompanying video in the product description). The alarm is easy to set up. I also like the Daylight Saving Time and Military Time features. I look forward to many years of comfort with this product.
