Essential tool with everything you need! It should be a complete kit with a carpenter's pencil for all your cuts, to be precise. It made my project easy, I just got a 1x2 piece of lumber about 2 inches smaller than my ladder and along with the spirit level that comes with the kit, I was able to make sure every step and riser was perfect . The stair step template tool even has a ruler mark on each end for measuring, which comes in handy as each step was a surprisingly different shape and size. Who would have thought that! Also, quick tip: don't forget to mark the right and left sides of the tool with a pencil so you know which side is which. Saved me a lot of time when I started this. I can't be happier with my purchase!
