Great for charging my iPhone XS Max, terrible for charging my Apple Watch 4. The iPhone charges as fast with this dock as it does with the Lightning cable, but the Apple Watch takes forever to charge - literally hours, even when the iPhone isn't charging, while the standard Apple charger will fully charge the watch from an almost empty state in about an hour. And yes, this charger connects to the adapter variant with the maximum specified voltage and current. I'm only keeping it because it's a hassle to return and it works well for the phone, but I'll probably go back to using the original Apple charging cable as I also like to sleep with the watch on my wrist and it just doesn't go fast afterwards enough charges one day use. .
