bought this when there was a 1 star rating. It's 12 now. Obviously my instincts were good. A great starter kit for those wanting to learn the art of sourdough. The banneton has a few minor flaws, but it's a banneton. My loaves only use the bottom third of the basket. The scrapers are excellent. The silicone pad is not needed for starters; Save it for cookies. After one or two uses there are small tears on the linen lining. never mind This is linen, hand wash, dry upright to avoid shrinkage. The lame takes some getting used to. I'm still learning how to use it properly. Maybe the blades aren't sharp enough. Additional blades included. The protection of the blade "artificial leather" leaves a lot to be desired. Be sure to open the bread box carefully. You won't know which end of the dot is. All in all a great kit. I started SD bread before buying the set, now I'm glad I have the tools. My process is improving.
