I had a hard time installing it. The bracket that attaches to the electrical box is a versatile device. It is not made specifically for the device. You should also have an electrical box that mounts flush to the ceiling. Not me. I installed a light in a basement with a bare ceiling. I installed the light on a flat box that was attached to the circuit board. The bolts were too long and I had to add a second set of nuts to shorten the bolts. The bracket that the light is attached to sticks out from either side of the electrical box and doesn't carry the light very well. After installing the light I am happy with the result.
