Be sure to measure! I'm not a big fan of children's shoe sizes by age group. My daughter is 9 months old and 12-18 months fits her perfectly. I'm so glad I didn't go with their age group (6-12). In fact, she will probably need the next size up within a month. Shoes for 12-18 months are close to shoes 3.5. This is the perfect shoe for her age as she is very mobile - she crawls and pulls herself up but not yet walks. They're like children's shoes, they're full leather and flexible, but they offer a little more profile. My daughter has a higher instep, they fit great, not too tight and are also very wide. I had to return a pair of 3.5W Stride Rite Mary Janes because they were too snug for her swollen instep and her foot wouldn't even slide into the shoe. They are just amazing and incredibly well done. They're real leather, the sequins are a cute, girly touch (and don't pill). The straps are well fastened and she can't take them off which is great! They look like boutique shoes, especially with the cute fringes on the back, and at a good price! The outsole with synthetic treads provides excellent traction when standing up when pulling up. It was a good find! I will probably buy the next size up as her foot grows. These are great shoes for my fast walker. Very happy!
