At just over 2 ounces, this is a very lightweight pillow. The material used on the face of the pillow is soft and comfortable to the touch. The material seems prone to picking up the oils from your face and hair. Even after using it for part of one night at home I could see a little discoloration on the pillow face. No doubt, after a week on the trail, it will need a good scrubbing. My only serious negative is that I wish it was a little bit thicker. I am a side sleeper and could use a little more loft on the pillow. I will still use this as my camp pillow. I'll just add a little loft from some spare clothing to achieve my desired height.
