Review on 🌿 Hemp Cord Spool 48# - 205 Ft/Pkg Natural Color by Hannah Curi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Adequate, there are flaws and possibly better options

This item was made in China, I can't complain because the seller only "imports" says, but if the country of origin was listed I probably wouldn't have bought it. I ended up not using much of the cord and instead purchased this product that I had previously assumed (wrongly and improperly) to be from the same supplier: Darice 400ft Hemp Cord 48lb Natural. This cord is smooth and polished. , and has an attractive look that makes it a good fit, except I don't want it touching my skin. When I opened it, dust came out, causing respiratory irritation and itching. I'm pretty sure I'm not allergic to hemp, so it's probably an aspect of the grafting process. I washed some of these in the car and after that they were quite fit for utility. Unlike the rope I've suggested, which is made up of many strands, it is made up of three intertwined strands that are re-woven into a rope, meaning it can be untangled for weaving etc. The product I list is made in Romania and I usually prefer to buy European fibers. and textiles for ethical and product safety reasons. Eastern Europe has a long tradition of growing hemp and I find this rope to be of higher quality and more durable. some choking hazard. It didn't work for my purposes and I can't recommend it due to the cons listed above, but I can assume it will be useful for other purposes.

Pros
  • 205 feet (62.5 meters)
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
