I have concluded that hemp twine is the strongest of the two versus jute but my experience has not been verified. I use twine as a "power source" for a miniature catapult (trebuchet) and have found that hemp twine isn't nearly as strong as the jute twine for my little "car".

This is a good strong natural hemp twine suitable for gardening and home crafting. Not sure if it's a full 2mm thick, but pretty close.
