Review on 🔌 Enhance Your Electronics: Parts Express Phoenix Type Connector 6-Pole 5mm Pitch 4-Pack by Michael Copeland

I bought these to route audio through Extron 4LDex. I already had one output port and needed four more for inputs, so this package seemed perfect to me. Although the spacing appears to be the correct 5mm as advertised, the overall part is slightly wider for some reason. A friend said he was also having trouble with Phoenix connectors so I decided to try and make some adjustments. Instead of returning them and then still having problems with something else. I tried shaving the edges with a metal file but that didn't work. I had to use a knife to cut it to size; This ended up taking a little more plastic than I intended and left a small hole in the side of the barrel. However, I ended up getting them to work. I literally had to crop them, but other than that I think they technically work. The screw terminals worked well and seem to hold the speaker wire I'm using well. But I wouldn't buy them in their current condition.
