I bought this reel for the Kite Into The Wind UltraFoil 15, it might not be enough. Here are the problems we had. The bit problem was linear guide related. The line jumps slightly over the roller guide and eventually drags along the underside of the mount. This creates a wear point that can cut the string. What is needed here is an eye loop. The next problem I have is that my hand just barely fits in the inner handrail. That would be great for a small kiter but with 15 pressure it's enough that after a while my arm really started to hurt. The glove offers padding, but it just doesn't have room for my hand. It's also worth noting that the spring spool latch doesn't move under pressure, so you have to grab the cord to release pressure to release the latch. The problem with this is that you have to wear a glove to grab the cord, but with a glove on you can't easily press the little button on the lock. Bottom line, this is a good reel for small kites, but even then it should have an eyelet loop.
