Review on 🎡 Black Micca OriGain 50W x 2 Compact Stereo Integrated Amplifier by Andrea Sledge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent amp for the price, solid build.

This is just a general view after a week of use. I use this amp to power my Sony SSCS5 which I can say is a very good amp for the price range. Briefly about the packaging: the box is sealed and has a large foam inside to protect against bumps (as in the picture). I chose this amp for 3 main reasons: 1. Nice design (personal opinion), mini.2. Comes with 24v, 4.75 amp power supply. Although there are no measurements, I think that the performance of the power supplies is only about 80-90% of their designation (voltage drop). since the amp is pretty much the same for this price range, >4A), the more headroom you have. In other words, it will be louder at the same volume knob position than at a lower voltage, making the output sound better. Just remember that this isn't always true, it's a general rule.3. It has a pre-out and is probably the only mini amp in its price range with a pre-out (mostly a subwoofer). . The sweet spot varies depending on the setting. However, my personal experience is that a range of around 20Hz above the speakers' minimum rated frequency is a good point. The reason for this is that from this point onwards the frequency response drops (example: 50-20 kHz speakers => 70 Hz crossover). This way you can reduce the crossover frequency between the subwoofer and your speakers, which is the cause of dirty bass. Advantage: No hum (volume control at 10 o'clock is 40 cm from the speaker) I won't say anything about the sound quality, because in this price range compared to other products from (fosi, smsl, douk, dayton u etc.), almost all deliver at same input voltage (in my case 24V) almost the same sound quality, except for using DSP or tonal balance. In other words, it's worth the money spent. Disadvantage: imbalance of channels (to the right) at very low volume, 7-8.5 hours (6.5 off). To get an idea of how low it is, on a desktop setup (near field) and seated 40cm from the speakers, I need to set the volume control to 10 o'clock to get a decent volume. At the moment, the channel imbalance has disappeared or become invisible. It seems that the power input is quite loose as it was disconnected several times during the setup process. _____________________________ I will update more in the future as needed.
