First of all this is a great kettle. I really liked its functionality and overall fill for my V60 methods. The only thing I actually discovered today was when I wiped off the innards. I noticed some mineral deposits from the still water so I started wiping them off. On wiping I noticed "black marks"/powder in the mouth/rim of the mouth - after cleaning it for a while they disappeared. I think there's a good chance it's machine oil or some oil from the factory to keep it clean or something. If this is the case I will report it to Wenegg to take precautions and implement SOPs to ensure not as much mechanical oil is added etc return or not. ****Update today 26.12. I emailed Wenegg and the customer service was fantastic throughout the day. They refunded me the money and I am working with their engineering team to find out what the problem is, is it oxidation or contamination in the metal that caused the black spot/powder. This can be very rare due to a variety of factors including minerals in the water we use maybe even bacteria in our house who love residual heat who knows but what I do know is that Amanda from Wenegg delivered an amazing customer Service also over the holidays :) change my 4 to 5 stars now :)
