I was very skeptical when I bought it, fearing it would detach from the door like my original. Man, was I wrong. It has locking teeth that hold it well and attach it securely to the door. The material is thick enough to absorb damage from accidentally banging the door open. This has been on my car for months and months and now works great in 100°F to 5°F with snow and rain pounding on it. I would buy again if I ever need it. Also, make sure you measure the location where you intend to install this before purchasing. That way you have a good idea of how much you need. This saves you the headache of buying too little.
