This item was so chipped and dirty that I could not give it to my loved one without first wiping it down with a wet rag, rubbing it away the sand and dirt particles, abrade them vigorously with sandpaper and treat the wood with olive oil so that it does not give splinters to the recipient. I think I got what I paid for.? No not at all. At best, it costs a dollar. Of course not the twelve I paid for it. Especially when you consider that the workers who made it were clearly brutally exploited. I guess I fell into the trap of wanting a quick last minute gift and cheap because I was almost broke and was tricked into wasting my money on shoddy exploitative goods. Sometimes it's hard to avoid, but I'm not happy and proud that I fell into this trap. It was usable after working on it and after my own work it was a lovely gift and the recipient was touched mainly because of what I put in it and how well it went with the photo.
