Review on πŸ–₯️ Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (6th Gen) Screen Protector - ClearTouch Anti-Glare (2-Pack), Anti-Fingerprint Matte Film Skin for Enhanced Visibility and Protection by Ronald Dimatulac

Real anti-glare

Impressions:1. Anti-glare really works. Almost completely removed glare from my version of the Dolby HDR screen (500 nits) (it was what I wanted - a matte HDR screen). The screen is still pretty amazing in terms of color. However, white also has a downside: If you look closely at an ordinary white image, you can see separate red-green and blue spots. they somehow became much more noticeable than without the film. That's what happens when you put a matte film on something (phones, etc.). I don't know the explanation, probably the technology itself. So White will be worse off.2. The film does not cover 100% of the screen. I think 2mm shorter vertically. So you have a long horizontal line about 2mm wide at the top or bottom of the screen that doesn't get covered. Not at all annoying (and you might need some distance in case you want to take it off).3. Finally (and above all). If you are really, REALLY skilled, accurate and diligent, DO NOT even attempt to apply the film yourself. Took it to a specialized service - the guy took about 1 hour and showed skill and accuracy that I can't even dream of. But the result was perfect. I paid $15 for this service and it was way better than throwing away a $35 product.

Pros
  • Protects the screen from scratches, fingerprints and dust
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
