Review on πŸ”§ WireGear Universal Rear Sight Pusher Tool - Heavy-Duty Construction for Semi-Auto Pistol Slides by Eddie Simpkins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent option, but there are better ones.

First off, I want to say that I despise companies that "buy" reviews from Revain. The manufacturer of this product is one such company. Inside the box was a bribe for a $20 Revain gift card if you leave them a 5x review. Please bear this in mind when looking at the massive amount of 5 star reviews on this scope pusher. As for the scope pusher itself, it's not a bad thing. It helped me to replace the factory 3-dot sights on my Walther PPS M2 with a new set of Trijicon night vision scopes. Inside the "claw" there was enough space for high sights. The tightest tolerance was adjusting the slider to the correct height. 1 mm higher, and the "claw" scraped the top of the bolt and pressed the rear sight. 1mm is too low and the base of the scope does not extend beyond the scope push rod. (Another reviewer left a picture showing this issue on his gun where there wasn't enough room to remove the scope before it hits the scope slide frame. If your gun has scopes that aren't too deep in the Action then you will probably be fine with this scope pusher It does the job perfectly The build quality feels very solid It doesn't feel like it's about to break and it keeps the bolt securely in place. The parts that come in contact with the sides on the slide has very thin rubber to prevent metal from making direct contact with the slide.I would have liked something a little different shaped to allow for the scope's thrust over the conical side of the visor instead of this design where it falls down at an angle to make contact with the entire rear sight only on a very thin line. Under pressure " Claw" pushes the rear sight a little and doesn't stay straight push/pull along the track, slightly weakened. Care must be taken to ensure that the torque does not twist the claw down on the opposite side of the force and thereby contact the top of the carriage, which can result in scratches. So this item works great if you play extra careful when using it, but there are better options out there from manufacturers who are unlikely to buy misrepresented 5-star reviews from customers.
