We use this daily for snacking for my 2 and 5 year olds (they eat big snacks for their age). This is just the right size for tomatoes and cheese or broccoli and gravy (in a small 1-ounce gravy jar). You can open and close it by yourself and love it when the lids don't match and the container is very colorful. We had our previous containers for almost four years before we lost them and hope these will last just as long. We put them in the top shelf in the dishwasher and after a couple of years we actually cracked (from the previous set), although the other two continued to work. My kids stretched the rubber pad so it takes a bit of fiddling to assemble. So if your kids are prone to it, keep it away from them once they've finished eating. liquid as it is not airtight. But we had no issues with a small amount of water/juice leaking from washed vegetables or ripe fruit.
