Review on πŸŽ’ Black Thule Subterra 30L Backpack by Andre Pendergrass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best backpack. Period. For professionals, students and travelers. I would know!

This is the best backpack I know! I am a 36 year old researcher, mother and traveler and I carry a backpack to work every day and also take it with me on every trip and vacation I have ever taken. My favorite backpack was previously also in the Thule line (crossover). I've had it for over 3 years and I still love it. Before that I used bags from Ogio, Burton, Jansport, Camelbak, Osprey and others. For the price, this backpack really has it all (well, almost). I mentioned that I use it for work. The laptop sleeve fits my HP Specter X360 15" laptop perfectly. I LOVE that you can put it in the top/inside of the bag, but you can also access it through the zipper on the outside/side of the bag. I keep it too my iPad Air 2 and all the accessories in it, iPad and laptop chargers, etc. I also store my large wallet, power bank, Sennheiser PXC 550 wireless earbuds, lunch, and tons of pens, cables, markers, and personal belongings, as well as keys, a water bottle, etc. I also do some audio/video recording on the side and can store a small tripod, a Canon Vixia, my DSLR and other audio/video/photo gear here if I want Also for a night trip you can easily put a change of clothes here if you don't want to pack your carry-on.I love the colors of this bag and the fact that it has a pocket or pocket for everything I need. The S The thing about this backpack that literally sets it apart from every other backpack I've had is the addition of a strap on the back to slip it over the handle of a trolley case so you don't have to wear out your back/neck and shoulders to travel. It's very comfortable, but even the most comfortable backpack can cause neck and shoulder pain after a long day at the airport. This little feature is my new favorite thing! Another "best” thing about this backpack is the quality. Thule doesn't skimp on quality. Period. I can speak from years of experience. I also have their large trolley case and this is my favorite so far. Their limited lifetime warranty is phenomenal. When I got her crossover backpack, 3 years after my first one, the zipper started to separate from the fabric of the bag. I contacted them and within a day they sent me a brand new backpack for free with no questions asked. This customer service is worth its weight in gold! This bag is made for long journeys and is very durable as the best materials are used, from zippers to handles. The only complaint I have about this backpack is that it doesn't stand up on its own when I put it down. Due to its nature, it always tilts forward, no matter how much or how little I have in it. This is a very stiff material for a backpack and I don't see it softening or sitting flat over the years, but I could be wrong. Also, I always hang my backpacks on a hook on the wall, but the position of the top handle makes it impossible to hang it on my old hook as it's too far from the bag and the space inside is too narrow. between handle and bag. Although these are very small quibbles. All in all, this is the best bag for work, daily use and travel I have ever had and Thule is NOT sponsored or compensated for it! I have paid full price for everything I have ever bought from them including this bag! I highly recommend this for working adults, students or travelers. You will not regret the purchase. You definitely get what you pay for and more!
