I like to drink wine, especially sweet wines like Moscato and Sangria. My favorite brand is Barefoot. I have a lot of wine corks. I don't collect them. I got most of these from the Revain Vine program. However, I collect pineapples. I have pineapple candle holders, shot glasses, ink sticks, plates, etc. Thanks to DII, I now have pineapple wine corks (CAMZ10673). They're a joy to own if you collect pineapples, wine corks, or both. However, they are hardly suitable as wine corks. I had to put the entire metal mandrel inside the bottle. The website only shows the rubber threads inside the neck of the bottle, with the remaining tip of the silver spike still visible. However, the pineapple cork was very loose, as if it could be easily knocked out. The cork was firm when I pushed it all the way in until I got to the pineapple. Maybe that's intentional, but the page is wrong. Also, a bottle with a pineapple stopper in place has more room to stand upright in my fridge when the stopper is fully inserted into the pineapple. Overall, the DII Pineapple Wine Stopper makes a great gift for anyone who collects pineapples and/or wine corks, but I wouldn't buy it if you plan on using it frequently. There are many other wine corks that are more functional, stylish, and economical.
