Review on 🎵 Raspberry Pi Octo 8-Channel Sound Card by Nick Kussmaul

I purchased this item, connected it to my latest PI and updated the PI firmware and software as instructed. After initial tests, when everything seemed fine, I tried to record a concert with it. Well, bad news. The PI crashed after a few minutes of the recording session. I rebooted, and then again, a few minutes later, another crash. I tried again in a different location with a more powerful power supply (just in case the PI runs out of power). the same again. And with a simple stereo recording, forget about multi-tracking, which is the main feature of this device. After all this and trying to contact the manufacturer who was not responding, I finally got a reply telling me where to find the source code for the driver. inside the core. I want to record music, not write code. Maybe one day I'll think about giving this product a much better rating, the day I feel like the manufacturer is doing their job of delivering a working product (hardware and software) instead of just a board with a bunch of components for sale.
