Review on Vango Apollo 500 Five Tent by Dave Mosby

The Apollo 500 appears to be well made and durable, but time will tell. I only set up this tent to see how it was made and to get a feel for its size. The stitching is even, and there are a few spots where it could pull away from the stitching. The size I think is great for 3 people with some gear or for 2 adults and a dog. I wouldn't try to get 5 people in unless you were REALLY kind. I bought this tent for my wife and I and occasionally for our large dog. The lobby is big enough to fit a couple of chairs and a small table if you have to wait for the rain or the bugs are too dense. However, I suggest that you purchase an 8ft x 10ft tarp to use as a prop to extend the life of your tent. The color is black, so keep that in mind when setting up. Can get very hot in the sun. However, this color helps if you want to sleep in a little later in the morning. Overall I would make this purchase again if. it stands the test of time.
