Review on 🌿 Organic Bamboo Nursing Breast Pads: Reusable Nipple Pads for Breastfeeding - Set of 14 with Wash Bag (Pastel Touch, Large 4.8") by Elizabeth Glover

Soft, big, firm but sealed

Update: I've been using these pads for almost two months. And they don't move in well. They seep all the way to the other side, licking the edges almost every time I'm lowered. I have to change them with my clothes almost every time. Going public is a pain! I need to bring extra clothes once I breastfeed my 5 month old or the opposite breast will leak through my shirt. These pads are so big, but bigger isn't better. I would even wear two on each side but they are so chunky. Disappointed with this product. I stopped using disposable pads because I did so much laundry with my newborn that I thought it would be cheaper, and it was! I exclusively breastfeed, so I had problems with breast engorgement once my baby started sleeping through the night. I first bought reusable pads for my 2 year old daughter who breastfed until she was 15 months old and I wore pads all the time so I had to buy more. These particular pads are larger than other bamboo cotton/reusable pads I've tried. I bought 4 different types that look the same on Amazon photos, but they are all made of different materials and have different designs. These are the biggest and thickest (and softest), but they're not as visible under my shirts as the others. They're concave, but they cover most of my chest because they're so big it's difficult to see the outline through the thick padding. I almost feel like I'm stuffing my bra, it's so thick BUT they aren't as absorbent as I was hoping. I licked through the pads if I let it down a lot. To test how much I poured 1 tablespoon (0.5 oz) directly onto the gasket, it filled the gasket and seeped through the nickel-sized leak. So I change them as soon as I realize they are wet. The main difference that they are much better constructed than some other brands is that there is almost no seam inside. If your reusable pads have a thick seam that touches the leaking milk, it can be difficult to always flush out the milk and this becomes more of a haven for bacteria. Some of my pads that I bought from other sellers have started to discolor within the seam. I'm taking a photo comparing another reusable pad I bought from Revain.
