The lesson here is, don't buy things that have been returned to save a few bucks. I love the table, it's sturdy, easy to put together and just what I expected. But I saw one advertised that had been returned in it's original packaging. I assumed someone had bought it, decided they didn't like it, put it back in the box and returned it. Well, they put it back in the box, but without any of the packing material. They just dumped the table parts back into the box and taped it up. So the legs where just sliding around in the box. There was a three or four inch scratch on the table top, but I didn't expect it to be perfect, so I hit it up with a little black touch-up paint and it was fine. What wasn't fine was that one of the legs had been dented so badly that it wouldn't fit in the slot in the bottom of the table. I had to take a hammer to it and straighten it out my own self, and after 10 or 15 minutes of pounding on it, I was able to force it into place. So I love the table, but I am never going to buy returned merch again!
