Great value for money, good documentation

This is great value for money and I'm happy to be tested in the laboratory. Connect an external 5V power supply, multiple ADC/DAC ICs, a 16x2 character display, 3 potentiometers, a joystick, a sonar range finder, 2 motors, and lots of LEDs and buttons. You get a 4-digit LED display, an LED matrix and an LED bar graph. There is enough hardware here to build a small MIDI instrument, which I intend to do with it to learn the Raspberry Pi. The tutorial document is nearly 300 pages long and takes you through the "best hits" of building a microcontroller circuit, and all the parts are included right in the kit for you to use. The resistors also have a tolerance of 1% instead of the usual 5%. I'm not sure what this kit would look like for a beginner. Although I haven't dabbled in C for a while, I've written a lot of C code in my time - my first full-time programming job used C. And I've been using the Linux/UNIX command line for decades. I also have some experience with microcontrollers playing with Arduinos and Beaglebones. But there is (barely) enough information in the tutorial where, if you follow the instructions, you can get the labs up and running. There isn't much theory or explanation out there, but there are places on the internet for it. All in all definitely worth the money!
