Read before you jump on them!

Before getting upset about being scammed and writing a bad review. Le wood connector needs to be cut on one side to fit Baofeng UV-5R. Then PTT works normally. I thought mine was broken until I read about 20 reviews that said the edge had to be trimmed to fit the radio. After trimming (that's how easy a caveman could do it) it works perfectly. No forced contacts for PTT to work now. If you've ever used real Comtacs or other user-worthy headsets, this isn't it. However, they are worth every penny and then the price too. I have fired 7mm mags with them and they have reduced loud noise. Not quality hearing protection but offers significant protection. Worth buying, glad they have a hard case with foam liners. It's nice to be able to stack gear with it and not have to worry about damaging the headset. Don't listen to all the reviews that it doesn't fit and doesn't work properly. It will initially be too wide to fit all the way in. Cut the edge of the Kenwood pen body and put it back. After a little mod works perfectly. The chords are thick and seem pretty sturdy and durable. They get four stars instead of five because they didn't fit perfectly from the factory and had to be readjusted a bit. Arrived quickly and undamaged. The PTT is made out of thick plastic which is good for weight reduction but not the durable metal body of my previous PTT. The picture also shows a camouflage print headband. I have not received any. Just a black headband. But you still need cover for him, so I didn't care. enjoy shopping. It's a great investment and the power quality is pretty darn good for the price. If you do a lot of live shooting practice or a lot of range shooting, I'd save for the real deal. I'm just saying this because I don't know how long mics/speakers can handle loud noise before they're completely damaged or broken. So far no problems below.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
