Thick padding and filling available!

Absolutely adorable! Exactly what I was looking for to keep my kettle accessible but closed. Matches my favorite yellow teapot. Made of well-stitched sticky thick insulation pad, looks durable. (We'll see how it holds up after a possible wash ๐Ÿ™‚) I was surprised to discover that the closure at the top wasn't actually ties per se. not like ties, but some of these ties were actually covered in elastic to form an elastic loop that slipped over the ruched bodice. It's a smart and quick closure, but since the top gather isn't high enough initially to provide additional fabric to hold it in place, it can slip off. I was able to fix this easily by sewing a large button on the back and hooking the elastic over the button. Eventually, when the elastic inside wears out, I'll probably undo the stitching on one side of the bow (since it's a long, continuous tie) and just wrap it around, hook over the button, and hand-tie the bow in the front. It has a beautiful Masonite wood circle tucked into an insulated pocket at the base for extra support, so this sleeve completely surrounds the kettle and won't lose heat when sitting on a cold countertop or table. The tea keeps warm for at least a couple of hours. We've thought of everything ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰ ADDITIONAL: See the last 2 photos, I've added a large button (1.25" 2.5cm) on the back of the lid so the rubber band doesn't hangs out. not slip. Easy hack๐Ÿ™‚ I emailed them with an offer.
