It loses calibration so quickly that 1) you have to calibrate it with a 35 ppt calibration solution before EVERY use, and 2) it loses calibration so quickly that you can't even trust the reading of the sample you get sometimes after calibration. Definitely don't trust that if you're calibrating to 0 ppt with distilled water. I would only consider using it if you calibrate to 35ppt immediately with a 35ppt seawater calibration solution immediately prior to the aquarium test. drift approaches 1 ppt lower than in the first test. And if you've used it for a few hours or a day, you're probably off by 3 or 4 ppt from the previous calibration. I think this is a good tool if you want to compare aquarium water. to your water for a water change and will test the tank and then test the water for a water change right away and just see if they match. But how quickly it changes its calibration, I don't really trust the actual readings unless you're okay with up to a 3 ppt deviation. (which I would say is not an acceptable deviation).
