Review on CURT 56070 7-Foot Vehicle-Side 7-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness Extension, Select Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram, Toyota - Black by Dominic Mayo

Although I'm a mid-range home remodeler, this was my first car wiring project. The instructions were clear and everything went well. As suggested by others, I went with longer self-tapping screws as my setup went through the bed's heavy bed lining. Note that there are several DIY installation videos online - likely one for your truck type and desired plug placement. Total time for me was about an hour because I spent about 15 minutes measuring and making sure my placement had enough space between the outside wall of the truck for the back of the connector. I also spent an extra $9 on a Curt 7 pin tester because I didn't want to wait until I connected the trailer to make sure everything was working. The result was very professional for 1/3 the cost of professional installation.
