I got tired of looking for little screws every time I dropped one. Sometimes it was impossible to find the lost thing. I was actually looking for a set of magnetic screwdrivers and other tools when I found this little gem. Some tool manufacturers build this item into their new screwdrivers, which leads me to believe that nobody actually makes magnetic screwdrivers. I received this item today and it works so well I will be ordering a few more to have in each of my toolboxes. So don't throw away new instruments or buy new instruments, just grab this gem and your old instrument will be better than ever. Added: I was at Walmart today (June 18) and found a similar item for $2 + tax. I feel ripped off. 3 stars because it's actually too expensive.
