I bought the Katzco Blue Precision Magnetizing and Degaussing Module because of its high ratings. I make jewelry and sometimes use magnetic clasps. Because of the clasps, my jewelry pliers are often magnetized. It is difficult to work well with tiny adapter rings when the rings stick to the pliers. (Jewelry pliers are pretty small. Together, their jaws are no bigger than a screwdriver.) I watched a few videos to make sure I was using the tool properly. Me and my pliers is still magnetized.

I've seen similar products over the years and heard mixed reviews; what works great, what doesn't. But when I finally bought it, I was surprised at how reliable it is. Works well but magnetizes better than demagnetizes. Like many others I often have to work with very small screws and sometimes with large screws in tight places where it is difficult to hold the screw to turn it. I bought 3 packs, one for me and one for each daughter. The price was fantastic and worth a try. I was not disappointed. The magnetizer works great. A quick movement with the tip of a screwdriver is enough to magnetize it. The degausser works but is a bit finicky. Just sticking a screwdriver through the hole a few times didn't work.
