Works well but magnetizes better than demagnetizes. Like many others I often have to work with very small screws and sometimes with large screws in tight places where it is difficult to hold the screw to turn it. I almost immediately magnetized half a dozen screwdrivers of various sizes and qualities, from small trinkets to one of those ubiquitous models with interchangeable tips you see (among other things) at the checkout counters of major hardware stores. Then, as an experiment, I tried degaussing all the drivers with mixed success. Some demagnetized quickly, others didn't. I don't really care as I don't have to worry about them getting magnetized (I don't use them on computer hard drives for example). All in all, a useful product at a bargain price.
