I am obsessed with flameless moving wick candles. I have them all over the house in different sizes and brands. I was very disappointed in them because of the loud clicking they make. To be honest, I don't understand all the positive reviews. I can't even think of a situation they would be good for - maybe a very loud wedding with music and you might not notice the clicking, or next to a loud fountain, or maybe outdoors? I needed these candelabras in my quiet guest bathroom and they all click in unison so the effect is far from elegant and the cones look like a pretty cheesy glitch, like a robot Christmas decoration gone wrong. This takes away the realistic atmosphere from the candle comfort, because real candles seem to be silent. I can't believe I paid over $40 for this! I was impressed with the rechargeability because I use this size a lot and got tired of having to change the button battery, but at least they are quieter. However, some other big brands also occasionally make a little noise, but not nearly as loud and noticeable as these! I think the part under the flames is actually intentionally physically gripping to cause movement? Other brands can use the lamp's natural heat to create movement on a tiny wire. I don't know how it works, but they are not suitable for my purposes. I would have also wished that two remote controls were included. They assume you plan on using them all in the same room, otherwise you would have to carry the remote with you and track anyone using that remote. Since I have a lot of these, I always try to place the remote control for this candle somewhere nearby.
