I have a G10 and needed a second camera so I got this G20. There isn't a huge learning curve between the two. I can still use my stash of batteries and memory cards and the menu system is identical. Low-light shots are much better with this camera, and the Manual/Cinema film modes allow finer color control (although I'm used to changing hue and saturation after the fact). Overall it feels like nothing more than a firmware upgrade from the G10, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering it costs less than the G10. I prefer to take photos with it than with a DSLR. It's lighter, easier to hold and operate with one hand, and the picture quality is fantastic!
