I have a G10 and needed a second camera so I got this G20. There isn't a huge learning curve between the two. I can still use my stash of batteries and memory cards and the menu system is identical. Low-light shots are much better with this camera, and the Manual/Cinema film modes allow finer color control (although I'm used to changing hue and saturation after the fact). I bought the same model two days before this refurbished model and used both (and a third Canon camcorder) to record two productions: a big stage presentation and a small, intimate songwriter's concert.
