I don't like the quality and the way this item is attached. I have installed several of these types of wall protection in the past and this is by far the worst quality product I have ever used. upset.

This product does what it is supposed to do. Very easy to install, you need to unscrew it before installing to get the fixing screw provided. Now if you are looking for a stylish item then you may look elsewhere as it is versatile which is reflected in the price.

During the bathroom remodel, the new towel rail stuck out a bit more than the old doorstop. This one did it. Being longer, he stops the door before hitting the towel rack. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize I was getting five damn things, but it's not the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

To prevent the bathroom door from accidentally hitting the towel rail I first needed a 4 inch doorstop which can be hard to find. Thus, the length of this doorstop met my requirements. Second, I wanted a spring steel doorstop, not solid steel. So I like the spring steel construction of this doorstop.

Most people buy these as doorstops and I am sure they will work well for that purpose. Our use was unconventional. We bought our cats a cat wheel and wanted to find a way to get them to use it when we're not around. So we mounted one on the wall and hung a cat toy on it and both of our cats use the exercise bike every day. As someone not handy, they are VERY easy to install! Simply screw the base to the wall and then screw the spring into the hole in the base. Dead easy!

Although four items shipped look normal, when ordering, 20% fewer items were shipped and the bag was opened. The first thing you see when you receive it is the warning on the packaging. The warning that this product is like some issues you need to keep aside so read them and decide if you are concerned, if so contact Amazon and they will take it back. I believe it has to do with the coating/chemical process: if you handle the product and don't wash your hands before eating, you may be exposing yourself to some type of chemical that you may also be sensitive to.
