The first thing you see when you receive it is the warning on the packaging. The warning that this product is like some issues you need to keep aside so read them and decide if you are concerned, if so contact Amazon and they will take it back. I believe it has to do with the coating/chemical process: if you handle the product and don't wash your hands before eating, you may be exposing yourself to some type of chemical that you may also be sensitive to. But I'm not sure if you don't touch it or a small child puts it in their mouth you will have concerns about using it. The product is very easy to install and in my case I only replaced a few where the surface was rusting. or the rubber stopper has disappeared. So all I had to do was unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. I didn't have to screw in the new base, I could leave the old base on the wall and just screw in the new doorstop. work for 20 seconds! how easy it was!
