Review on πŸ”§ Barnett Performance Products Clutch Spring Conversion Kit 511-90-10002: Upgrade Your Clutch Performance! by Ray Richards

Just amazingly good in drivetrain and transmission

I bought my '07 Roadstar Silverado (with a few additional engine mods) last spring of 2012 and immediately noticed clutch slip when I beans it in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear gave. I attributed it to user error for the first few months, but then I realized it happens even when I know the clutch is fully engaged. It was something I should have addressed at some point, but since it ONLY happened when I actually pressed the accelerator, it wasn't too urgent. But what drove me nuts was that I had all these extra ponies and couldn't use them because the clutch would slip. This spring of 2013 my buddy got his first bike (another cruiser) and after a few "hard" rides on him I got tired of this clutch slippage. After some research on the internet I found this to be a common problem with Roadstars (especially if you have more ponies than stock) so I took the plunge and purchased this Barnett Spring Conversion Kit. I'm SOOOOO glad I did. Now I have no more slip (still with original clutch discs) and can use the full power of my bike. The same buddy who actually did the install for me didn't like the results (he's out of time!). He's a mechanic and hasn't had any problems at all; The hardest part was removing the old gaskets. I recommend anyone who has problems with clutch slippage to try this product. There are alternative solutions to this problem, but given the $130 price tag, I wouldn't even consider them. In my opinion this is the BEST route.
