Review on NewSoul Portable Monitor MDS-173A01 - Enhanced HD, Flicker-Free, Frameless, Ultrawide Display: 1920X1080, 60Hz by Juan Soto

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Meets all expectations and more

I ended up getting this as a means to have a monitor that was not only very portable but also had a higher frame rate for gaming on my PC. Everything worked as expected, but I only tested Mini DP and HDMI for connectivity. Ghosting and pixel sharpness are a lot better than I expected to be honest, and the size and portability easily make up for the very slight blurring. I was very fortunate to use KABCON's tablet stand (https://www.amazon.com/KABCON-Adjustable-Foldabele-Eye-Level-Etc-Silver/dp/B074J159V5/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3GSRL1J0RDU2A&dchild =1&keywords ). =kabcon+tablet+stand&qid=1618991308&sprefix=kabcon+ta%2Caps%2C188&sr=8-3) as the perfect stable base that can be easily folded up for on the go. One final note: Please note that your mileage may vary, but at this point if I'm applying the right amount of power to the screen (I've had issues with screen flickering when enabling FreeSync or DCR without the included power adapter and cables), I can use the G-Sync via Gen 1.2 DP to Mini-DP cable on my RTX 2070 Super and enable G-Sync despite it saying it's an incompatible monitor. My system has been testing and gaming for several hours with G-Sync enabled and it absolutely makes a difference when running games at monitor refresh rates.
