Review on LYNDA Eyelet Grommets for Grommet Machines by Ricky Habbani

This jack press serves my needs well. I ordered it to make keychains out of. It works and the rivets are decent quality, but it doesn't feel as solid as I originally hoped. Another thing to note is that this set does not include punches. You must order these separately. The press itself consists of more than one material. The description of the product states that it is made of cast iron, but does not specify which specific part is made of it. The body is made of light metal with a coating. This means the whole thing isn't as heavy as I expected and doesn't have the best center of gravity when in use. Also, the grip on the handle is not shaped to match the handle itself and will slip off when you hold it. This seems dangerous and I will most likely just delete mine. Overall this is a decent press that does what I need it to do, but it's not the best available and I have concerns about its durability. At the current price of around $60, it's not a bad deal, but if you plan on using the press a lot, I'd suggest spending a little more money for a better quality item.
