I used this controller for approximately a year, and it was a joy to play both first-person shooters and fighting games with it (DMC and MK series). In addition to the gamepad, there was a disk containing a driver, which contained an auto-configuration for any platform or operating system that is compatible with this device (the settings can be changed to your taste). The cable is the only and most significant source of the problem. It just so happened that several of my friends with children came around, and it was only logical that the men would want to play on something as cool as a gamepad. I was so focused on what I was doing that I completely missed the fact that the pad was being ripped away from the system unit. This occurrence has been forgotten about for the past two months. After making the decision to retrieve the pad and transform it into a slasher, I inserted the device into the socket. Ten seconds later, the computer was disabled as a result of the insertion. During this time, the wire of the gamepad itself began to overheat to the point where it began to burn my hand. Then it was discovered that the wire had been totally severed from the apparatus it was attached to. They worked together and tried to resuscitate our friend for a period of four hours, but they were unsuccessful. As a direct consequence of this, it is impossible to fix what is in the garbage. In a nutshell, it's a decent piece of hardware for the money, but it needs to be treated with caution and cannot simply be discarded.
