When I first saw how cavernous it is I was afraid my two kittens wouldn't like it as they already have something similar that they don't like. They checked it out right away and quickly ignored it for a few days until I put it next to me on the couch while I read. The kittens looked at it and decided they liked it! I gave it 4 stars for softness as the bed was unfilled. I tried manipulating the filling but to no avail so I opened up the pillow and added the filling from another pillow. Works perfectly. I bought it specifically for the winter months when the heating is off at night. The combination of materials and shape helps retain body heat well. My cats are 10lbs and 6lbs so the larger size is perfect for two. I like that the entire bed is washable.
