Stops working after a month for no apparent reason

Bought this as a gift for my four year old boy who was delighted. However, after about a month of use (not even every day given COVID at the moment) the LCD mysteriously stopped showing the time and the two buttons on the left side also mysteriously got stuck. Don't think it's a battery issue as the lights still work fine. Strongly disappointing.

Pros

My grandson loves his watch that he got for Christmas. Excellent quality, very durable.

Cons

The clock didn't work. At all.
