A good SHARP working lens for everyday shooting of diverse scenes without frills, without a creative twist. Does not soap, quickly and accurately focuses. There is a bokeh on focal length 105, it seems even good . In comparison with 24-70 in the picture (only IMHO) it loses. If 24-70 can be compared in the picture (also IMHO) with fixes from a hole 2.8 (not L of course), then this one still falls short. At the same time, the focal range for a full matrix is ββstill more in demand than 24-70. For me, this lens still remained a kit lens for 5D and nothing more. You canβt call it creative because of 4.0, but still it is an elka, therefore it surpasses most standard zooms in quality and is perfect for an enthusiastic novice REPORTAGE photographer or as the one and only lens. The trunk does not leave without permission, as they say here, and in general there are no complaints about the quality of performance! Is it worth the money or not - it's up to everyone to decide. For me, the saying is very suitable for him: with all the wealth of choice, there is no other alternative from zooms! In pursuit of a new lens, most forget what they still want: to improve the picture or buy a BIG and EFFICIENT lens to replace a whale or a standard colleague. If not for reporting, I would advise adding 5000r. and take: EF 35 2.0, EF 85 1.8, EF 100 2.0. With the 100th, you can wait a little (if finances are loud) and take a little later 135 2.0 - an ideal portrait for sane money! This is where the soul will turn around .
