I needed to run two of these flat cables from the router on the first floor to my two gaming PCs on the second floor. The cables had to be flat to run under the windows and they worked as expected! Before installing them, I taped them down so they ran cleanly to the outside and pushed them apart a bit under the windows. No problem so far and they get about 10-15 feet outdoors in the Texas summer heat!
