My cat didn't want to go in through the door so I had to tape it shut. He never came out at the top. With his head on one end and his butt on the other, the elimination agent often ended up on the edges of the box or on the outside. The dimensions given are external dimensions, not internal dimensions. It's a smart idea and if my average height was smaller (he's only 8lbs) it might fit him better. As a result, rubbish is still lying around everywhere. I like the drawer for cleaning.
