The adapter does not charge my iPad 3 model a1430
I have an iPad A1430 with a 30 pin socket. Got an 8 pin female to a 30 pin male today and happily connected it to my iPad. I'm disappointed! The adapter didn't quite fit and I was afraid it would damage the connector on my iPad. I was able to plug the 30-pin connector into my iPad, but when I plugged in the 8-pin Lightning connector, the adapter would not allow charging the iPad 3 battery. I checked the source and it was producing power to charge the device. Luckily the adapter didn't damage the connector on my iPad.
